Pet Lovers: Two Supplements Effective for Arthritis

My friend's 13 year old Lab Mutt was suffering with arthritis of both hips.
It was almost impossible for him to get up from a lying down position. Walking was a real challenge. Based on the recommendation of my vet, I decided to try glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate. The brand I decided on was Cosequin. After approximately 5 weeks from the onset of starting this supplement, Charlie was like a new dog! The literature is very promising for humans taking glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for arthritis. So it made sense that just maybe we would see benefit for animals. All I can say is it worked. As always I suggest checking with your vet if you decide to introduce glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate for your pet suffering with arthritis.
